LEED CERTIFIED GREEN BUILDING
From top to bottom, the new HealthPark will be thoughtfully designed, considering every element of sustainability, energy efficiency, water efficiency and recycling, pollution prevention, and more. We are even planning a green roof top garden to insulate the buildings from Florida's outside heat, saving stormwater onsite for irrigation, and improving occupant productivity and satisfaction.Physical security: The element of physical security is important given the world we live in today. Ensuring the safety of our staff and patients is our number one priority. Therefore, in building the new HealthPark Titusville, much attention will be paid to security systems, traffic patterns, parking area security and respect for patient privacy. HealthPark Titusville include security cameras as part of its security system, among other devices.
Hurricanes: Health Park Titusville’s buildings are built to withstand Florida’s extreme weather. All buildings will be constructed to withstand 130 mph winds and build above the 100-year flood plain. These are just a few of the ways physical security will be addressed.
HealthPark Titusville will be designed to be a healing environment for everyone. Design elements involving colors, textures, and artwork used throughout the center reflect the Space Coast region. The professional image of the campus and the landscape will be built to "Class A" commercial office space standards. The physical look and feel of the campus and buildings must reflect the values, beliefs and philosophy of the people responsible for delivering care.

Nature
The value to a health care environment of physical or sensory interaction with nature is evident in its effects both on patients and caregivers. Having access to elements of nature help to distract patients from the challenges of treatment and enhances their sense of well being. Common areas will feature planters and fountains that provide color, texture and sound – all of which reinforce the natural feel of the space and, at the same time, become healing elements. The spirit-enriching concept is reinforced with natural light allowed inside through an abundance of windows throughout the buildings. The adjoining Chain of Lakes Park will provide outdoor space, lakeside walking trails, and tropical landscaping, making it a peaceful retreat for staff, patients and visitors.
Healthy building Evidenced-based research has long linked improved outcomes to the physical environment. Sustainable and therapeutic environments produce healthy, high performance buildings that inspire staff and families and positively affect patient outcomes. Quality design decisions and material choices are more expensive, however, these costs are recouped through savings in operations, maintenance, enhanced staff performance, and customer satisfaction.
In addition to traditional aspects of a healthy building such as energy and water demands, site impact and indoor air quality, other aspects of a healthy building include:
Providing quiet, and serene patient areas, and more efficient work environment for staff.
- Under ground garage parking provides doctors and staff a quick and convenient access to personal transportation.
- Strategically placed alcoves keep hallways clean and clear, reducing the potential for falls and promoting a neat and clean environment.
- Close attention to floors and door transitions will reduce or eliminate bumps for patient comfort and added safety.
- Related practices can be located within feet of each other for improved referral retention, customer convenience, efficiency and quality.
- A centralized elevator system provides direct access to the garage and improves efficiency.
- Hurricane protection technology is designed into every building.
Wayfinding Good wayfinding begins as the guest, patient, or customer approaches the campus and doesn't end until the guest has found their destination. Beginning at the lighted intersection of US 1 and Dairy Road, guest are directed by a campus wide signage system that creates a clear sense of place. Directing guest to the front door of each individual office, calms an already stressful situation. Respecting patient privacy, safety, comfort and providing a safe, efficient work environment cannot be accomplished without good wayfinding.
Our goal is to reduce stress, not create it. Inside, patients and visitors are welcomed into the doctor’s private lobby area.
Familiarity leads to improved wayfinding. Like the local supermarket people frequent. People know exactly where to find what they are looking for because they visit it often.
To accomplish this, a wide variety of specialties and health related retailers are welcomed to join Health Park Titusville. Additionally, HealthPark Titusville will join in with community events such as health fairs, crafts shows and sports events at the Chain of Lakes Park.
Our under ground parking level elevates the building above the possible hurricane tidal storm surge elevation and our permeable paving absorbs and filters rainwater, reducing stormwater runoff.
Embracing Environmental Stewardship values creates good buildings and makes good business sense.
